Hi — I’m Sam van Megen. Voice actor, screen actor, and unapologetic escapist.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been healthily obsessed with language, sound, and film — alternate realities where anything is possible and I get to bring them to life. Whether I’m behind a mic or in front of a camera, I live for stepping into stories. The darker, the stranger, the better.

I’m a versatile voice actor with a passion for telling stories that linger — the kind that make you laugh, think, or check under the bed. My range spans from smooth and soothing to raw and unhinged, and I thrive in roles that lean a little darker: villains with charm, narrators with secrets, or heroes who’ve seen too much.

But it doesn’t stop at voice. I’ve recently stepped into acting — training through online courses, on-set experiences, and sheer creative obsession. I believe passion and instinct carry more weight than theory alone. I love fully inhabiting a role — becoming the voice and the presence of a character, whether that means controlled chaos or quiet vulnerability.

At 25, I still haven’t grown out of the worlds I “should’ve” left behind a decade ago. I surround myself with other creatives who never wanted to grow up either — Peter Pans with microphones and cameras. I'm not built for boardrooms or beige environments. I’d rather shape sound and vision into something surreal, something honest — something felt.

Whether it’s inspiring kids to become the next RoboDog detective, guiding someone toward mental health support through a heartfelt commercial, or creating the next cinematic trailer that sends chills — I’m in.
